{About Courtney}

Perhaps Courtney inherited baking skills. Her grandma used to work in a bakery and always made the family's birthday cakes as well as for friends' special occasions. As a little girl, Courtney would watch her decorate. One flower at a time, she learned from her grandma tricks to make the icing taste and look just right. That fascination grew. When Courtney's first-born son was about 18 months old, her grandma gave her all of her decorating supplies. The first project: Courtney's brother's graduation cake. Her own kids' birthday cakes have provided other baking and decorating opportunities and many more birthday and shower cakes have followed. Her hobby became an on-the-side business, thanks to word of mouth that started at her own kids' parties. Then a friend asked if Courtney would make her daughter a cake. The word has continued to spread, the collection of baking pans has grown, and her techniques have been polished.
